Daycare for Ayr!!!

We are very excited and pleased to say we started a daycare run in Ayr and Dalrymple this week!!! If you know anyone in Ayr who has a fur baby that would benefit from daycare please let them know about this new service we offer. Our daycare has many benefits including hours of playtime and socialising, nap times in secure heated kennels for each dog which introduces them to a happy, safe kennel environment and we also provide cuddles! Price starts at £12.50 per dog with discounts for multiple dogs from the same household available with spaces form Monday to Friday. We take all precautions when picking up and dropping off dogs. If this is something that is of interest please send us a message or give us a ring on 01655 750588 🤩🐾🤩

Tiptoeing into the new normal!

We had the pleasure of meeting little Duke the beagle puppy for the first time this week. He is only 13 weeks and hasn't had much chance of socialization during our lockdown, his owner was concerned he was becoming nervous of other dogs and starting to display some signs of separation anxiety. He was here for less than two hours and his progress was amazing. What a brave big boy and seriously cute, if you think your dog or new puppy might benefit from something similar please get in touch.

COVID 19 Update

Hello everyone, after taking advice from Trading Standards at South Ayrshire Council we are pleased to say we are permitted to offer daycare again, following the guidelines and putting all precautions in place. We can offer daycare to keyworkers, people who are returning to work and those who may be unable to exercise their own dogs. We are still unable to offer any grooming onsite at this time as there are different rules for groomers. We take the safety of all of our customers (and ourselves) very seriously and will observe all necessary hygiene and distancing guidelines. If anyone has any questions please give us a call on 01655 750588. Thank you Zoe and Ian

2019 will be a good year!

A beautiful snowy morning at Windyhill 30th Jan 2019
January is almost over and we are feeling very positive about this coming year. We have recently purchased a wee van and are now offering local pick up and drop off for our doggy day care visitors, this is proving to be quite popular and we have some lovely new furry customers who are getting on great and enjoying meeting up with their daycare pals. It's so cute to see how excited they get when we come to get them, they know another day of fun and frolics is on the cards for them! If this is something you think your dog would enjoy or benefit from just give us a wee ring to have a chat about your requirements. Our daycare has lots of benefits, dogs get lots of outdoor socialising and playtime, it introduces them to the kennel environment and lets them see it's a happy place! It relieves boredom and can help owners manage any destructive behaviour that takes place at home when dogs are left unattended. It's about the same price as a dog walker but your pet benefits for a much longer spell. We are fully licensed and insured, giving peace of mind.

Another exciting development here at Windyhill is that we can now offer dog washing and grooming, this means that when you come to pick your dog up they are squeaky clean and smelling amazing, ready to be cuddled!! This is also proving popular with our canine guests and owners.

A busy year so far!

We've had a very busy year and things are going well this summer. We got the new reception area completed which has made a huge difference and the kennels have benefitted from a lick of paint which has smartened them up and made them very easy to keep nice and clean.
The lovely dry weather has made such a difference and all the kennel dogs have been enjoying lots of time outside in the sunshine and shade, they all seem very happy with the weather we've been having.

Our own dogs have been enjoying lots of nice walks and swims, our numbers have grown significantly and we now have 7 dogs!!! 5 labs, a lurcher and our wee terrier. We were lucky enough to have 2 beautiful litter last year, Roxy and Ruby both enjoyed their experience of producing some stunning pups and we kept one form each litter, Amber and Rowan. To say Rogan is the proud dad would be an understatement!!

Summer update

What happened to the summer weather?!? It's August and my weather app says the forecast for Kirkmichael today is "Tropical rainstorm!!" Now that is a new one on me but not to worry it's still dry at 1pm so we have lots of happy tired dogs and the washing is about dry too so it's all good!
We have had a very busy summer with full kennels for the duration of the school hols which has been amazing and we want to thank all our fantastic customers for continuing to bring their four legged friends to us for their holidays. Now that the schools are back we want to share a couple of pieces of very exciting news. The first is that we have been accepted as a proud supported of the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere, what that really means is that we have signed up to the charter and have made a promise to develop our business in a sustainable way. We are very happy to be a part of something that we think is pretty amazing! for more info go to www.gsabiosphere.org.uk
Other news is that we are planning some exciting new developments here at the kennels and hope to be able to offer new services very soon. The plan is to do some work in what was the cattery and install a dog washing/drying facility and also a Canine Ozone Jacuzzi Spa bath which is a wonderful therapeutic resource for dogs who suffer from arthritis, skin conditions, circulation problems and has a whole host of benefits. We hope to be able to bring more news very soon so will keep everyone up to date. Meanwhile thank you for your support and check back soon for more news
